Chinese poker is a 2-4 player game using a standard 52 card deck. Each player is dealt 13 cards. The object of Chinese poker is to make the best 3 Chinese poker hands (2 five card hands and 1 three card hand) using your 13 cards. |
| Chinese Poker: Front, Middle and Back hands |
| Chinese poker is played by making 3 hands a 5 card 'back' hand, a 5 card 'middle' hand and a 3 card 'front' hand. Your back hand must be higher than your middle hand which must be higher than your front hand. If hands are placed in the wrong order you will pay a penalty to the other players. Your front hand can be a 3 of a Kind a pair or high cards, Straights of Flushes do not play because the Front hand only contains 3 cards. |

- 13 cards are dealt to each player.
- Players decide to continue playing or surrender and pay a penalty to the other players.
- Remaining players makes their Front, Middle, and Back hands or plays their hand as a Clean Sweep hand.
- A showdown between all players is done, starting with the 1st player to the right of the dealer puck.
Showdown
A showdown is where each player compares their 3 Chinese poker hands against each player. Player hands are compared separately against the other players. 1 unit won from each player that you beat and 1 unit is lost for each hand you lose. When a tie occurs no money is exchanged between those 2 players.

PokerFever.com offers 2 variations of Chinese Poker, Western and Eastern. Western Chinese Poker
In Western Chinese Poker, a player who wins the majority of hands against a player earns an additional point. For example: If you win 2 of 3 hands against another player, you gain 1 unit for winning 2 of the 3 hands plus you win 1 for winning the majority of hands, for a gain of 2. Eastern Chinese Poker
Eastern Chinese Poker awards bonuses for certain hands. When a bonus hand is played you only win the bonus for the hand and not for winning the hand. For Example: If a player wins all 3 hands against with a Straigh Flush as their back hand they would win 1 point each for the Front and Back hands and only the bonus for the Back hand of 4 points, for a gain of 7. Double Bonus
The bonus for a hand doubles if the hand is of the same type as the opponent's, but of higher rank. Example: if Player A's back hand is K♣ K♠ K♦ K♥ 5♣ and Player B's is 9♣9♥9♠9♦3♥, Player A earns a bonus of 8 units, instead of 4.

| Chinese Poker: Clean Sweep Hands |
Clean Sweep hands win automatically provided it is not beat by another Clean Sweep hand. When dealt a Clean Sweep hand you must click Submit Natural or the hand will be played as a normal hand. When 2 or more Clean Sweep hands are dealt and submitted as "natural", the highest Clean Sweep hand wins the total points for the hand. If 2 or more Clean Sweep hands tie, nothing is exchanged between those players.

The back hand, a straight flush is higher than the middle hand which is a 4 of a Kind, which beats the 3 of a Kind for the front hand.

| Chinese Poker: Surrender Rules |
- Players may surrender their hand before the showdown.
- Surrendered hands will not be compared with other hands, however you must pay each player 3 units to surrender.
Hands failed to be set in the proper ranking order for the front, middle and back hands, are fouled and the player must pay a penalty to each opponent who did not surrender Foulded hand penalties are as follows: - Players with a Clean Sweep hand are paid the value of the Clean Sweep hand.
- Players with a regular hand are paid 3 units plus any of the players bonus.
A player fouls if they declare a Clean Sweep without having one. Dealer Puck Clean Sweep uses a dealer puck to start payment to players. The 1st player to the right of the dealer puck is the 1st player to compare their hand. Players with a low bankroll are prevented from winning or losing more than they have available on the table.
